What does raising a child have to do with owning your own business?

Let me ask you a question? Do you have a child or children? Do you know there will be discomforts and not knowing exactly what you are doing when you raise a child?

Wouldn’t the same hold true as you move into the world of business and the world of working online? Being in the home business arena and the online arena is one of the most lucrative practices in the world today.

Are your Actions in Line with Your Expectations?

If your expectations of being an entrepreneur are not in line with the actions you take you will justify why the money is not following. In all reality, the path is simple but never easy to the life-changing profits in business.

Today you deserve to know that you deserve to experience those life-changing profits in business. So what should you look at to have a new career as an entrepreneur? Let me ask you a question. Again, to my previous question, do you have a child or children? If you don’t do you know someone who does?

You Deserve to have More in Life, right?

I’d like to give you an analogy that could open your eyes, to some major differences and similarities that need to be addressed in owning a new business. This is important to know because it has to do with your comfort zone and an empty bank account.

When you have a new baby, the baby does not come with an instruction manual. You do learn the differences in the hungry cry, the dirty diaper, the stomach ache, the tired, the teething, the frustration of trying to communicate cry. During this time, there are sleepless nights, you’re not always happy, you get tired, maybe even cranky, but the overriding feeling is your concern for the well-being of this new baby. You love this baby, it is a part of you and you want only the best for this new life you are caring for.

When there is something wrong with your baby, it gets your attention. It takes time for you to understand what your baby is trying to tell you. Is the baby sick ? What do you need to do to for your baby to fulfill his or her needs? Your baby will pull on your heartstrings and you will try to find out what is needed. This baby will have you laughing, smiling and feeling the joy of this new being that eventually will grow into a person that you will grow to love more and more. That is your job as a parent.

Entrepreneurship is like having a Baby

Entrepreneurship is like having a baby. You’ll have to practice some things that are not always comfortable. You’ll need to put in some new daily habits into your daily routine that you’ve not done before.

At first, these habits might feel a little uncomfortable. Isn’t that always the case when you start something new? It’s uncomfortable until it starts to be comfortable. Just like having a newborn, by six months you will be able to identify the different cries. You will finally be more comfortable.

Do you know what is possible?

When you know what you have, it all becomes worth it. The personal change, the money coming into the bank account, the new skills that are no longer uncomfortable but have now become a daily habit. The trust and mentorship of the team you have aligned yourself with is personally rewarding and financially profitable.

Who wouldn’t enjoy better sleep, a better immune system, experiencing more money than month.? You could show someone a path to solving problems with a solution that is proven and that works. A proven pathway with mentorship. Who wouldn’t want to show someone a path that works? Your business can become a passion.

You need to be sure about what you have that works. If you are in network marketing what are the steps you need to do daily that will lead you to success? Your business will not grow if you aren’t making daily presentations.

Do what’s Uncomfortable until it becomes Comfortable and a New Habit

Do the things that are uncomfortable until they become comfortable and you have developed new habits. Learn new skills and become the person that changes your future. There is greatness in each of us. There is greatness in you and new habits can be created. All is possible with intention and some grit.

What are the Benefits of Blogging?

You may be wondering what are the benefits of Blogging and why would I Blog or even consider it?

In my last Blog I wrote about the fact that “Change is a Constant” in our life. Since the 1950’s with the technological revolution, it feels that change is speeding up. “By 2020, more than 40% of the US workforce will be so-called contingent workers, according to a study conducted by software company Intuit in 2010. That’s more than 60 million people that will be contract workers.” Find out more here.

If 40% of the work force will be freelancers, what changes will individuals need to be making with so many no longer employed directly by companies and working as contractors? How will we stand out as the one that will get the job done? This brings us to a concept of becoming an expert and “Branding”. Because, we have all become Googlers for information on the internet, it’s important to develop a Presence Online where we can be found. this is where the concept of “Branding” ourselves becomes important.

How can you help others with what you know?

What skills do you bring to the table? How could you help others with the expertise you possess? Think about what you are good at and if need be, what could you learn that would be valuable to others that you can teach. People are always looking for information and how to do something. What unique perspective and expertise that makes you more valuable can you bring to the marketplace?

You need to be on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, you should have your own Blog. Even if you are an employee, you should have your own Blog. Because of all the changes happening, we need to be thinking about a Plan B. We need to be ready for what may happen next.

What would you do if you knew if your job could change or disappear? There have been articles written about how to become indispensable in your job. See it here. To make yourself indispensable, you will need to be able to sell yourself and all the things you are bringing to the work you do. This could make the difference in keeping your job.

For some, thinking about a Plan B, may mean starting something on the side of what they are already doing. It may mean starting a business. Gaining skills always makes us more attractive in whatever we are doing and is essential if we decide to venture out into something new. If you Blog you will gain credibility and authority which will make you more valuable to the people who need what you have to offer. Your job is to create valuable content. This valuable content is just one of the metrics used by Google to rank how you will show up when Googled.

How would lawyers and attorneys benefit?

Every year there are 40,000 law students and only half of them are able to work as lawyers. Those are terrible statistics that half of the students don’t become lawyers. It sure makes you wonder what happens to all those that can’t work in the profession they chose?

Wouldn’t it be valuable for these students to be taught how to market their capabilities? They should be doing this as an undergraduate. They should have a Blog and be learning to Brand themselves. They will need to do this as an attorney and if they don’t become a lawyer and end up doing something else. Law schools teach them to know the law and become good technicians, but not how they will need to market themselves later.

Everyone needs to Brand themselves, you’ve got to be ready. You need to be at the Top of the Food Chain in Online Marketing. When you decide to put yourself on the internet the skill you will need to learn is how to market yourself online. Change brings with it a “Huge Solution Economy” and the need for people to fill that need. See the change as Opportunity and you will be the winner, filling a need that others have. Are the benefits of Blogging a way for you to move your life forward?

Robert Kiyosaki says the only difference between a rich person and a poor person is how they use their time. Is all your time spent in front of the TV? Paul Zane Pilzer says that Prosperity comes to those who do things the fastest. What I believe Paul means here, is that when you see a need and you seize the opportunity to do something to fill that need and you move quickly, you have the best chance of success.

When you invest in yourself you are building your Brain Capital, this allows you to become indispensable. This investment builds your resume. Once you have the Brain Capital, you’ve got to be able to market yourself. As a Blogger there are a number of ways to make money. The ways to make money will be discussed later.

Are you ready for the changes coming by 2020?

With the statistics of 40% of the workforce being independent contractors by 2020, it is important to look ahead and be prepared for the changes ahead. Could Blogging be a way to assist you in this preparation? Develop a Mindset to succeed and be committed to figuring it out.

Truth is that none of us can do this on our own. Be willing to learn and ask for help.

It’s Not About You

When you are in any business, it’s not about you, it’s about how you can become a Solutions Provider to the people you serve.

As I mentioned in my last post, you are a Solutions provider. It’s not about pitching your stuff, it’s about, how may I help you with your specific problem. You should know what the problem is for your target market.

What is the problem for parents trying to figure out the perfect school for their child? Will it be a University or a College? Trying to figure out which one is right for their child and how can they send their child to that school.

We are in an amazing time with all the economic changes that are going on, There are new industries popping up. We have serious problems facing us and we have people that are coming up with solutions that will help us manage and make the world a better place for all of us that live on our amazing planet.

We do have people I will call Preppers, that are planning for an economic collapse. There has been a huge industry for people that are planning for the end of the world. Why is this happening?

There is so much change going on in the world. We are living in a time of history where change is happening so very fast. We’ve become people who expect instant changing or the microwave thinking about change. Those of us who have trouble adjusting to this fast past change, have become frightened.

Time of Opportunity for Entrepreneurs

Things are happening so fast, so dramatically fast, it allows us as entrepreneurs to slip right in the middle of the shift. This is going on in the educational system, medical system, mobile system and so on, and so on….

Everything is changing in the way we communicate, the way we do business, the way we learn, what that means for us in the Solution Economics is unparalleled. Opportunity that has never been experienced by mankind, because we can do commerce globally. We are no longer limited by the environment of where we live.

Even 30, 50, 60 years ago we had no such reach and availability of information or commerce. Because of the shifts that have taken place we are now in a position to take advantage of the opportunities that change brings. Instead of being fearful. Think Opportunity.

Take a look around you and see how can you make things better and offer a solution to what is needed. What services or products will be of benefit to those that need them? How will you figure out who your target market is? Make a difference with what you can offer. Remember, it’s not about you, it’s how you can solve a problem.

Remember, it’s not about pitching, that makes it look like it’s all about you and what you want. You do need to be aware that whatever you have chosen, it must be a Solution to what someone is looking for.
